Measure and pour
Select the day's Neighborhood Rotator configuration (server/bartender indicates base spirit and chosen modifiers). In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz base spirit, 0.75 oz aromatic modifier, 0.5 oz liqueur or bitter component, 0.5 oz fresh citrus juice and 0.25 oz simple syrup.
Add bitters
Add 2 dashes of the chosen cocktail bitters to the shaker so the aromatic profile layers with the modifiers.
Shake with ice
Fill the shaker with ice (enough to chill and dilute properly). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds, until the shaker is cold to the touch and slightly frosted.
Strain & Finish
Choose serve style
Decide whether to serve up (straight into a chilled coupe) or on the rocks (over fresh ice in a rocks glass). If serving on the rocks and using the sparkling top, add 1.5 oz club soda or tonic to the glass after pouring the shaken mix.
Final check
Taste (or offer a small adjustment) — if the drink feels too tart, suggest +0.25 oz simple syrup; too sweet, suggest +0.25 oz citrus next batch. Present to guest with the day's chosen spirit and modifiers named.
