Storage & Preparation

1

Inspect and acclimate

On receipt, visually inspect each Cohiba Robustos for intact wrappers, consistent color, and absence of mold or cracks. If cigars arrive in protective tubes, keep them in tubes until ready to store. Allow cigars to acclimate in their shipping packaging for 24–48 hours in a moderate environment (away from direct heat or cold) to avoid sudden humidity shock.

2

Prepare humidor

Ensure your humidor is properly seasoned and holds 68–72% relative humidity and 65–70°F (18–21°C). Place two humidor packs (Boveda or equivalent) inside the humidor; position them so airflow reaches all cigars. If using a hygrometer or humidity indicator, place it near the center of the humidor to monitor conditions.

3

Arrange cigars

Place the 25 Cohiba Robustos in the humidor in a single layer or two shallow layers with small spacings to allow air circulation. If using protective tubes, place each cigar tube in the humidor the same way. Avoid overcrowding; leave a little room for airflow.

4

Stabilize and monitor

Close the humidor and monitor humidity and temperature daily for the first week, then weekly thereafter. Replace or recharge humidor packs per manufacturer recommendations (typically every 2–3 months) or when the indicator shows humidity drift. If humidity falls below 65%, add a fresh pack; if above 72%, briefly air the humidor with slightly drier conditions until stable.

5

Serving suggestion

When ready to smoke, remove 1–2 Cohiba Robustos from the humidor and let them rest for 30–60 minutes at room temperature to remove any coolness from the humidor. Cut the cap with a guillotine or V-cutter, toast the foot evenly using a butane torch or cedar spill, and draw gently to enjoy the cigar's flavor profile. Relight carefully if needed; avoid overheating the wrapper.
