Method

Water

1

Serve plain cold water

Ensure the water source is potable. If using tap water, run the tap briefly if the water has been sitting in pipes. Pour 2 cups (about 480 ml) of cold potable water into a clean glass.

2

Add ice (optional)

If you prefer chilled water, add 4 ice cubes to the glass. Use fewer cubes for less dilution or crushed ice for faster chilling.

3

Garnish (optional)

For a light flavor, float 1 slice of lemon and 2 fresh mint leaves on the surface. Gently stir once with a clean spoon to disperse aroma without over-agitating.

4

Serve

Serve immediately. Replace with fresh water as needed and discard any water left standing more than a few hours at room temperature.

Refill and storage

5

Keep a pitcher of filtered water chilled in the refrigerator for quick refills. Use within 24–48 hours for best taste. If storing longer, cover tightly and re-chill before serving.
