Coffee Base

Method

Coffee Base

1

Brew and sweeten

Brew 2 cups of strong coffee (use 2 tablespoons of coffee grounds per 8 oz cup or your preferred method). While the coffee is still hot, stir in 2 tablespoons granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until fully dissolved. This creates a sweet coffee concentrate that will remain smooth when cooled.

2

Allow the sweetened coffee to cool to room temperature, then transfer to the refrigerator and chill for at least 20–30 minutes. For faster cooling, pour the coffee into a shallow container to increase surface area.

Ice & Milk

3

Assemble the iced coffee

Fill a tall glass with 1 cup of ice cubes. Pour 1 cup of chilled sweetened coffee over the ice (about half the glass). Add 1 cup milk (or milk of choice) and stir gently to combine.

4

If you want a richer, sweeter drink, stir in 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk until fully incorporated. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more sugar, condensed milk, or milk as needed.

Garnish (optional)

5

Drizzle 1 teaspoon chocolate or caramel syrup over the top and finish with 2 tablespoons whipped cream if desired. Serve immediately with a straw.
