Peanut Salsa Ingredients

Method

Preparation Directions

1

Prepare the Chilis

Remove the stems from the dried chilis and soak them in warm water for about 15 minutes until they soften. Drain and set aside.

2

Toast the Peanuts

In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast the peanuts for about 5 minutes or until they are golden brown and fragrant. Stir frequently to avoid burning.

3

Blend Ingredients

In a food processor, combine the softened chilis, toasted peanuts, lime juice, garlic, and salt. Blend until you achieve a chunky salsa consistency. Adjust seasoning as needed.

4

Add Cilantro

If using, add chopped cilantro and pulse a couple of times to mix. Be careful not to over-blend.

5

Serve

Transfer the salsa to a serving bowl and enjoy with tortilla chips, tacos, or as a condiment for grilled meats.
