Method

Prepare the Beef Patty

1

Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Use your hands to mix the ingredients until just combined.

2

Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.

Grilling the Patties

3

Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F or 200°C).

4

Grill the Patties

Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty. Grill for another 3-4 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.

Assemble the Cheeseburger

5

Toast the Buns

Optional: Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

6

Build Your Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the grilled patty with melted cheese. Add tomato slices, pickles, ketchup, and mustard to taste. Top with the other half of the bun.
