Cocktail
Method
Cocktail
Combine ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz Rémy Martin VSOP, 1 oz dark crème de cacao, and 1 oz heavy cream.
Add ice
Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup or enough to come three-quarters of the way up the shaker).
Shake
Secure the shaker and shake vigorously for about 12–15 seconds. Shake until the outside of the shaker feels very cold and the cream is well aerated and slightly frothy.
Double strain and serve
Strain the cocktail through a fine mesh strainer (or the shaker's strainer) into the chilled coupe or martini glass. This removes small ice shards and gives a silky texture.
Garnish
Grate a small amount of fresh nutmeg over the top to taste (start with a light dusting). Optionally add a pinch of chocolate shavings or a light dusting of cocoa powder for extra aroma and presentation.
Serve immediately
Serve right away while cold and slightly frothy.
