White Wolf Tea Blend

Method

Brewing steps for White Wolf

  1. 1

    Prepare the base

In a teapot or heatproof pitcher, place the cedar wood sachet, star anise, dried black currant leaves, fresh mint, and the organic white tea leaves. Split the vanilla bean and scrape the seeds; add the seeds to the mixture and tuck the vanilla bean pod into the pot as well.

  2. 2

    Heat the water

Heat 4 cups of water to 85-90°C (185-195°F). Do not boil to preserve delicate white tea notes.

  3. 3

    Combine and steep

Pour the hot water over the tea blend. Allow the mixture to steep, uncovered, for 4-6 minutes to extract the bright white tea flavors while releasing the aromatic notes from cedar, vanilla, star anise, currant leaf, and mint.

  4. 4

    Strain

After steeping, strain the tea into a clean vessel, discarding all solids (cedar sachet, star anise, currant leaves, mint, and vanilla pod). If you prefer, you may leave the vanilla pod in for an extra minute, then strain.

  5. 5

    Sweeten (optional)

Stir in 1 teaspoon of raw honey while the tea is still warm, tasting and adjusting sweetness as desired.

  6. 6

    Serve

Pour the tea evenly into four cups. Garnish with a fresh mint sprig if desired and enjoy the fragrant, balanced profile of the White Wolf blend.
