Directions

  1. 1

    Boil water

Bring 250 ml of fresh water to a rolling boil in a kettle. Once boiling, remove from heat and let it settle briefly.

  2. 2

    Warm teapot or cup

Pre-warm your teapot or cup with a small amount of hot water, then discard the warming water.

  3. 3

    Combine tea with bergamot

Place 2 teaspoons of Nilgiri black tea leaves in an infuser or teapot. Add 2 drops of bergamot essential oil to the empty teapot for aroma, or wait to add to the cup after steeping.

  4. 4

    Brew tea

Pour the hot water over the tea leaves. Steep for 3 to 4 minutes, allowing the Nilgiri tea to infuse and the bergamot to perfume the cup.

  5. 5

    Finish and serve

Strain the tea into a cup if using loose leaves. Taste and enjoy as is, or add milk, lemon, or a touch of sweetener according to preference.
