Matsuri White Rice Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

1

Rinse the Rice

Place the Matsuri rice in a fine-mesh strainer or bowl. Rinse under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.

2

Soak the Rice

Transfer the rinsed rice to a bowl and add 2.5 cups of water. Let the rice soak for at least 30 minutes to ensure even cooking.

3

Cook the Rice

In a medium pot, add the soaked rice along with the soaking water and 0.5 tsp of salt. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.

4

Simmer

Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the pot with a lid, and let it simmer for 15 minutes without lifting the lid.

5

Rest the Rice

After 15 minutes, turn off the heat and let the rice sit covered for an additional 10 minutes to finish cooking.

6

Fluff and Serve

Use a fork to fluff the rice gently before serving. Enjoy your Matsuri White Rice as a side dish or as a base for your favorite meals.
