Cocktail
Stir
Stir the mixture gently but thoroughly for 20–30 seconds (about 20–30 full strokes) until well chilled and properly diluted. The goal is a cold, slightly viscous texture—do not shake, to maintain clarity.
Strain and garnish
Discard ice from the chilled glass. Double-strain the cocktail from the mixing glass into the chilled coupe or Nick & Nora using a Hawthorne or julep strainer and a fine mesh strainer if available. Express an orange twist over the surface to release oils, rub the rim with the peel if desired, then drop the twist into the drink.
Serve immediately. Estimated single serving: one cocktail.
