1

Muddle cucumber

Place 4 of the thin cucumber slices in a cocktail shaker. Add the simple syrup and gently muddle 6–8 times to release cucumber juice and aroma. Avoid pulverizing — you want fragrance, not pulp.

2

Add liquids

Add Seedlip Garden, fresh lime juice, and a handful of ice to the shaker with the muddled cucumber.

3

Shake

Secure the shaker and shake vigorously for about 10–12 seconds until the shaker is cold to the touch and the mixture is well chilled.

4

Prepare glass

Fill a Collins glass with fresh ice (about 3/4 full). If you like, add the remaining 2 cucumber slices into the glass to float among the ice for visual appeal and extra aroma.

5

Strain and top

Double‑strain the shaken mixture into the prepared Collins glass (use a hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer if available) to keep cucumber bits out of the drink. Top with the elderflower tonic, pouring gently to preserve carbonation. Stir once gently with a bar spoon to combine — one or two slow turns.

6

Garnish and serve

Garnish with a cucumber wheel or ribbon and a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Serve immediately with a straw if desired.
