Method
Cocktail Preparation
Prepare the Smoked Glass
Using a smoking gun or a stovetop, smoke the wood chips until they are ignited. Capture the smoke in a glass by inverting it over the smoke source and letting it fill for about 30 seconds. Set aside.
Mix the Cocktail
In a cocktail shaker, add whiskey, Laird's applejack, dark rum, bourbon, demerara syrup, black walnut bitters, and chocolate bitters. Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into the smoked glass filled with fresh ice. Make sure to keep the smokiness intact.
Garnish
Twist the orange peel over the drink to release its oils and drop it in as a garnish.
