Method

Cooking Pasta

1

Cook the Pasta

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

2

Drain and Set Aside

Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander and set aside. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water for later use.

Sautéing Vegetables

3

Heat Olive Oil

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

4

Sauté Garlic

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

5

Add Vegetables

Add the zucchini, bell pepper, cherry tomatoes, carrot, and asparagus to the skillet. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.

Combining Ingredients

6

Mix Pasta and Vegetables

Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Toss to combine.

7

Adjust Consistency

If the mixture seems dry, add a bit of the reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.

8

Season and Serve

Season with black pepper, stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, and garnish with fresh basil before serving.
