Bottled Water (single serving)

Method

Bottled Water (single serving)

1

Sanitize bottle (if reusable)

If using a reusable bottle, wash it with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly. For extra sanitation, fill with hot water and let sit for 2 minutes, then empty and air-dry or wipe with a clean cloth.

2

Prepare water

If using filtered tap water, fill a clean kettle or pitcher with water and, if you prefer chilled water, refrigerate until cold. If using bottled water from a larger container, ensure its seal is intact or that it has been stored properly.

3

Fill bottle

Place the bottle on a clean surface. Pour 500 ml of filtered still water into the bottle. Leave a small headspace (about 1–2 cm) at the top to allow for cap tightening and minor expansion if chilled or frozen.

4

Add optional ice or garnish

If desired, add up to 4 ice cubes to chill instantly. For a touch of flavor, add a single lemon slice or a small mint sprig into the water before sealing.

5

Seal and label

Screw the bottle cap on tightly to prevent leaks. If storing for later, label with the fill date. Store chilled in the refrigerator or keep at room temperature out of direct sunlight if consuming soon.

6

Serve

When ready to drink, open the cap and pour into a glass or drink directly from the bottle. Dispose of single-use bottles responsibly or rinse and reuse a reusable bottle as needed.
