Prepare the Garment
Pre-wash the sweatshirt in cold water and tumble dry or air dry to preshrink and remove finishes. Use a lint roller to remove fibers and debris. If the sweatshirt has heavy wrinkles, lightly press with an iron on the cotton setting and allow to cool.

Open the provided "Apres Beer" SVG file in your vinyl cutter software. Size the design to fit the chest area of the crew neck—typically 9–11 inches (23–28 cm) wide for adult sizes. Mirror the design horizontally if using HTV. Place the HTV shiny carrier side down on the cutting mat. Set the cutter to the recommended blade/pressure for the vinyl type and cut the design.
Weed the Design
Remove the excess vinyl surrounding the design using the weeding tool. Carefully weed internal details (letters, small shapes) leaving the design on the carrier. If multiple colors are used, cut and weed each color separately.
Assemble Multi-Color Layering
If the graphic has more than one color, layer pieces on a flat surface in the correct registration. Use a small piece of masking tape to temporarily hold layers in place while you test alignment on the sweatshirt with light pressure.

Preheat the heat press to the vinyl manufacturer's recommended temperature (commonly 300–320°F / 149–160°C for standard HTV). If using an iron, set to the cotton/steamless setting and allow it to reach temperature. Place the sweatshirt flat on the press platen or ironing surface and pre-press for 5–8 seconds to remove moisture and smooth fabric.
Position the Graphic
Center the design on the chest. Measure from shoulder seams to the top of the design or from neckline to ensure consistent placement—typically about 3–4 inches (7–10 cm) below the collar for adult sizes. Use masking tape to stabilize the carrier sheet so it doesn't shift during pressing.
Press the HTV
Cover the design with a Teflon sheet or parchment paper. Press with firm, even pressure using the heat press at the recommended dwell time (often 10–15 seconds). If using an iron, press firmly for 20–30 seconds on each area—avoid sliding the iron. For multi-layer graphics, apply the base layer first, peel the carrier as recommended (hot or cold peel per vinyl type), then align and press subsequent layers with a protective sheet in between. Use the heat-resistant glove as needed to hold edges during cold-peel steps.
Final Press & Peel
After all layers are applied, give the finished graphic a final cover press under a Teflon sheet for 5–8 seconds to ensure adhesion and smooth edges. If the vinyl calls for a cold peel, allow the garment to cool before removing the carrier; if hot peel, remove immediately and check for lift. If edges lift, repress briefly.

Inspect the graphic for full adhesion, alignment, and absence of bubbles or wrinkles. Gently flex the fabric to ensure the vinyl moves with the garment and no cracking occurs. Remove any stray vinyl particles with the weeding tool.
Care Instructions
Advise the wearer to turn the sweatshirt inside out for washing, machine wash cold with mild detergent, and tumble dry low or air dry. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners.
