Measure 1 fl oz cold-brew coffee and 2 fl oz fresh orange juice. Place them together in a small mixing cup or measuring glass. Add 1/2 tablespoon maple syrup and 1/4 teaspoon fresh lemon juice. Stir well until the maple is fully dissolved into the citrus-coffee blend.

Measure

Ensure both the light lager (12 fl oz) and the wheat beer (6 fl oz) are well-chilled (ideally 38–45°F / 3–7°C). This cocktail is best served very cold to preserve carbonation and balance flavors.

Chill

Select a 16–20 oz pint glass or beer mug. If using ice, add 1 large ice cube to the glass (optional—ice will reduce head and dilute quickly). Pour the 12 fl oz light lager gently down the side of the glass to avoid excessive foaming. Then slowly add the 6 fl oz wheat beer in a thin stream to create a mild layered effect and a modest head.

Pour

Hold back the foam with a spoon and slowly drizzle the prepared coffee-orange-maple mixture over the back of a spoon held just above the beer surface so it spreads gently. This technique helps maintain carbonation and distributes flavors without breaking the head too much.

Incorporate

Add 2 dashes of Angostura bitters on top of the beer. The bitters add aromatic depth and help bridge the citrus, coffee, and beer flavors.

Taste a small sip. If you want it sweeter, stir gently and add up to an additional 1/4 tablespoon maple syrup. If it feels flat, skip adding more sweetener; instead, serve immediately to enjoy the carbonation.

Taste & Adjust

Express the orange peel over the drink to release oils, then drop it in or rim the glass with it. Optionally, rest a crispy bacon strip over the rim for a savory breakfast accent.

Garnish

Serve immediately while fizzy and cold. Provide a straw or enjoy straight from the glass.
